Pear Pie

Filling:
6 medium pears, peeled, cored and sliced 1/4" thick
1/2 c sugar
3 T flour
3 T lemon juice
1 T lemon rind grated

Topping:
1/2 c flour
1/2 c sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp mace
1/3 c butter

Gently combine all the filling ingredients and arrange in an unbaked pie shell.  Combine the dry ingredients.  Cut butter into dry ingredients.  Sprinkle evenly over top of the pie.  Bake at 450 degree preheated oven for 45 minutes.  Serve warm with flavored but not overly sweet whipped cream.
